In 1911, millionaire William Harkness invited friends and family aboard his luxurious yacht Gunilda for a Great Lakes cruise. On Lake Superior's northern shore, unfamiliar with the waters, she was soon hard aground on McGarvey Shoal. Today the Gunilda rests upright and wonderfully intact in 260' of water. Gunilda features a white hull with goldleaf trim that still gleams under divers' lights. View the salons that sport fireplaces, electric fans and even a piano!
This program will be presented by Marshall Allen.
We hope to see you there next year, The Ford Seahorses.
